Just a quick thanks. I was introduced to this blog by a friend recently and I have to say it is amazing. As a new educator I am excited to see that there are other reflective practitioners out there that are willing to create a community of educators by sharing their ideas and experiences. I think particular lesson plan is great and can’t wait to do something like this is my class.

Brilliant! I use common craft a lot and somehow I missed this as an activity. Whats really interesting is that you’ve opened your classroom but its not so we could see you teach but so we could see how your classroom PLN learns. I am definitely stealing this idea. Thank you so much for sharing.

I spend a lot of time teaching my 8th grade Social Studies learners how to think critically and to plan out their presentations before they go to the computer lab. This is perfect for that. So often people forget that presentation design is important. I try to show my own classroom at http://www.21stpresentation.blogspot.com (sorry for the shameless self promotion). With permission I’m going to link to this post to spread this fantastic idea around.

Also i agree with you about teachers blogging on what’s going on in their classrooms on an everyday basis. wouldn’t this help promote the “hey, we’re all in this together” mentality?

This is great! When we get back to school the students are finishing up their timeline of events covered thus far. I am feeling inspired to break some of those events into groups and have the students create videos like this…hmmm…thanks!
