The answers to these questions and many more in a session that will focus on what your kids are saying with their bodies. This innovative approach to assessment will change how you interact with your students. Warning! Techniques not guaranteed to work on spouse.

It sounds fabulous. I’d love to be in that session.
It’s possible that your last line totally sold me on it!
Definitely! It sounds like it would be really useful information to know. I attended a workshop this year, where the presenter swore that when you ask a question, what the respondent does with his or her eyes indicates what is going on in their brain… whether they are retrieving information, or formulating their response, replaying the question in their head verbally or visualizing the question. For ESL students, if they’re looking a certain way (I think it was down and to the right) you’re supposed to give them more time to process their answer. I wanted to look into this more, but I haven’t been successful in finding much information.
Upper right! Shows that the person is constructing their answer. The big myth that has been passed around is that it also is a sign of lying…could be lying, but also could just be thinking of of well constructed answer.
I would definitely attend. It is a great topic. I actually recently completed a NLP practitioner training course where we learned a lot about eye movements, body language etc. I find these kinds of things very interesting, and as teachers it is really helpful when you are able to pick up non verbal cues from your students.
