During the first week of school I had this on my arm:
It is a temp tattoo but not a cheesy one that looks fake. Taylor Mali sent to me after simply sending him a postage paid envelope! So everyone thinks it is real.
Waiting for the buses Friday the following conversation occurred:
Student: What does you tattoo say?
Me: Tough Teacher
Student: It shouldn’t say that.
Me: Why, you don’t like tattoos?
Student: No, it’s just that you aren’t tough.
Me: Well what am I?
Student: You’re kind of funny. It should say Funny Teacher
Me: Thanks…I think.
Funny you should write about this as it just happened to me yesterday too, minus the tatoo. I made a comment to my 8th graders about being tough and one of the girls called me on it. I had to laugh and agree.
I love this. Might try it next year. Even after just a week and a half, I told the kids that I was going to be the mean teacher and a few laughed and said that would be impossible.
